Big Jim

Born and raised in Spokane, Washington, I got my start in radio with a fight in school -- yeah, no kidding! Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I served the U.S. Army in South Korea and worked for several years as a fire fighter. When I'm not at home or work you can catch me building haunted houses.

What’s Too Much to Spend on Kids for Christmas? – Big Jim Wants to Know [POLL]

My wife is about to spend $400 on a pair of sneakers because that's what her son wants for Christmas. It's not unusual for families to drop $1,000 per kid on Christmas. I think that's absurd! We didn't have a lot of money growing up, but we didn't lack either. I think Christmas has become too commercialized.
