November 27, 2012 My wife is about to spend $400 on a pair of sneakers because that's what her son wants for Christmas. It's not unusual for families to drop $1,000 per kid on Christmas. I think that's absurd! We didn't have a lot of money growing up, but we didn't lack either. I think Christmas has become too commercialized. We can only blame ourselves for that if we're spending a huge percentage of our annual salary on stuff our kids will only use or play with for a couple of hours. Sometimes it feels like a dump truck full of money. How much do you think is TOO much to give gives for Christmas?
