Legendary Doors Drummer Picks an Astonishing Replacement for the Late Jim Morrison — Hmmm?

In an interview John Densmore quipped that if a Doors reunion were to occur he would want Jimmy Fallon to fill in for Jim Morrison!

Tuesday I must have been in a contemplative frame of mind. While playing ‘Riders On The Storm’ I pondered how sad it was for not only the surviving members of ‘The Doors’ but also for us, the consumers of great music, that Ray Manzarek, John Densmore and Robbie Krieger couldn’t keep the band from fading away after the unfortunate, untimely death of iconic lead singer Jim Morrison.

Every member of The Doors was VERY talented and contributed to their unique musical art that still sounds innovative to this day. Sure, it was sad that the self-destructive Morrison perished as he did, but I wish there would’ve been a way for the band to continue to create.

I’ve had these thoughts before but they were particularly intense yesterday, so when I found an interview that keyboardist John Densmore just gave while promoting his new book, ‘The Doors: Unhinged’  I felt that karma may have played a role.
