Waste Management’s PGA Event Was Great Way to Start a Week of Vacationing in Arizona

Friends in the Phoenix area have wanted me to visit for years and with winter dragging on I decided this was the time. The trip coincided with the Waste Management Phoenix Open PGA Tournament that ended on Feb. 3, 2013 at the TPC Scottsdale course. It was a remarkable start-to-finish-victory by Phil ‘Lefty’ Mickelson! The only stadium seating in professional golf is the Par-3 16th. It was an unrealized goal from the inside but the raucous crowd rocked the entire course on the outside.
