
Kennewick Police Arrest Suspect Accused of Recording Women in Dressing Rooms
Thanks to an eagle-eyed citizen, a man was arrested on Monday at the Columbia Center Mall for attempting to video women in the dressing rooms.
Kennewick Police Nab Suspect After Reports of Hidden Camera in Dressing Rooms
In a report filed by the Kennewick Police Department, here are the details from the arrest:
On Monday, November 10, 2025, at approximately 2:18 p.m., officers were dispatched to a business in the 1300 block of N. Columbia Center Blvd. for a report of lewd conduct. It was reported that a male subject had been recording females inside dressing rooms.

Kennewick Police Thank Public After Arrest in Voyeurism Case
Officers responded quickly to the area in search of the suspect but were unable to locate him at first. As the investigation continued, they gathered video footage and photos of the individual, which were then shared with nearby businesses.
Approximately one hour later, a vigilant citizen recognized the suspect and promptly contacted the police. Officers located the suspect inside a nearby business and took him into custody without incident.
The suspect, identified as Joseph Renders, was booked into the Benton County Jail for suspicion of first-degree voyeurism.
Thankfully, an eagle-eyed citizen managed to identify the suspect and notify authorities of the situation.
